Support not only your intestines and your immune system. Kombucha can do even more.

A Kombucha a day keeps the doctor away! It could soon be called something like this, because just one kombucha can contain more nutrients than an apple.

Kombucha is a fermented tea drink that is created with the help of a kombucha culture (Symbiotic Culture of Bactria and Yeast). A symbiosis of bacteria and yeasts that can result in a healthy and refreshing tea drink with many enzymes and nutrients at the end of fermentation. Kombucha is the perfect addition to a balanced diet. No matter whether vegetarian, vegan, paleo or a raw food diet. The many living and good bacteria from kombucha can be integrated into almost any diet and help your intestines to stay in a healthy balance and fight off bad bacteria.

How is kombucha made?

Real unpasteurized kombucha has been produced for thousands of years using a process that is always similar. A symbiosis of yeast cultures and bacteria is added to a sweetened tea and then begins to ferment. During this process, the fermentation of kombucha, the sugar from the kombucha culture is metabolized over the course of several days and important nutrients and enzymes can be produced . At the end of the fermentation there is only a small amount of sugar left in Kombucha. Most of the sugar has already been used by the Kombucha culture. Kombucha is usually fermented with a tea base of black or green tea, but with a little experience other types of tea are also a tasty variant.

How can regular Kombucha consumption help your body?

After fermentation, kombucha contains numerous ingredients that are biologically valuable for the organism: organic acids such as glucuronic acid, dextrorotatory lactic acid and acetic acid, polysaccharides as well as enzymes, vitamins and minerals. (1)

The acetic acid it contains stimulates the metabolism and can support the body in breaking down fat and protein. The enzymes it contains help the intestine to break down food into its individual parts and regulate the metabolic processes. (1)

Despite all its positive properties, kombucha is not a miracle medicine, but regularly integrated into everyday life it is a wonderful way to supplement a healthy diet with nutrients and to support the intestines.

The body can be slowly introduced to the sweet and sour drink. For example, you can start with just one glass each morning and see how it goes for you. See if you feel a positive change in your body after a few weeks. The sweet and sour taste is initially unusual for some, but the more often you drink kombucha and the taste buds are sensitized, the more you like the delicious and super thirst-quenching tea drink.
